As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing cross-divisional and country-related finance matters, managing external stakeholders, and providing a robust accounting and controlling frameworks for all businesses within the scope. In addition, this role will also involve serving as the Finance Director for one of the focus countries with Northern Africa.How You’ll Make an Impact
- Act as a trusted Partner to the countries Management Team and focus on cross-divisional, country-related Finance matters and lead the Finance Community, providing a robust accounting and controlling frameworks for all businesses.
- Represent Siemens Energy towards external stakeholders, such as auditors, shareholders, customers, suppliers, and business partners as a partner of the Sub Region Head.
- Represent one legal entity as Finance Director, ideally Morocco or Algeria.
- Responsibility for the integrity of books and records, and an effective Risk Management and Internal Control System.
- Act as the investors’ advocate by protecting the assets and driving sustainable value creation, e.g. by supporting, yet carefully reviewing relevant investments, periodically evaluating the portfolio of the entity, and leading initiatives to reduce the asset base.
- Play a key role together with Business Areas and/or Functions for regional productivity improvements, cost optimization and provide a lean platform of Corporate Functions and the overall infrastructure for all businesses in the entities assigned.
- Lead, oversee, manage, and escalate sub-regional and country Finance matters e.g. legal topics and compliance to financial rules, financial legal entity governance, financial risk management, inflation, foreign exchange and liquidity, local function, and financial topics as well as other critical topics.
- Serve as the “Voice of the Sub-Region” within the global organization and drive innovation as well as end-to-end improvements across the regional company.
- Enable a high-performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement, with motivated employees and retention of key staff.
- Lead and develop our people, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness.
- Develop talents and organizational structure; act as a coach to identify, develop, and retain country/ regional talents with the Finance domain.
- Active contribution in Middle East Finance initiatives cross division and cross border.
What You Bring
- Experience as a Finance Director for a legal entity.
- Strong operational experience in leading a finance function for an international organization ideally for a regional legal entity in a project, sales, and service environment.
- International experience outside the home country in more than one country
- Act as a trusted partner to the sub-regional and country’s management team, focusing on cross divisional, country-related Finance matters towards external stakeholders, like auditors, shareholders, customers and partners, and lead of the finance community.
- Senior leader with at least 10+ years of experience working in finance functions in various business areas and corporate functions, Tax, Real Estate, etc.
- Actively participate in developing and implementing the Middle East hub finance strategy, policies and -tools and methods.
- Strong knowledge in financial controlling and Management Accounting (IFRS) and reporting systems/environment.
- ERP and finance systems, knowledge, preferably SAP/Spiridon.
- Experience in an M&A environment, ideally including experience playing a key role in executing transactions.
- Have a reputation for integrity and being able to challenge the status quo using a collaborative balance and a networked approach.
- Proactive, dynamic, decisive & results-oriented and a team player with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as presentation skills
- Proven track record of building high performance teams, identifying, developing, and promoting diverse talents.
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Must be fluent in French, Arabic and English.
